My debut solo album “Mentallogenic” is out now!

It is with a great sense of accomplishment that I share my first solo album with you. It’s a collection of nine songs with many different genres, elements and (oh no he’s going to say it!) moods, even though melancholy is definitely queen. I will always be a sucker for music that carries enough pain and sorrow combined with an irresistibly groovy rhythm section. Available now on every streaming platform (click on the cover below for options). Vinyl available on the Music With Soul Bandcamp  and the best record stores worldwide.

“Maracas, tambourines and other hellish things” the soundtrack

For the film I’ve told you about in the previous post (right below this one) I’ve also been asked to write all the music. I’ve wrotte and produced a bunch of songs exclusively to fit the key moments of the film. Ended up doing some stufff I’d never done before: synth drones, acid techno, biguine, etc. I made a limited edition cassette to commemorate the release (check the “Label” section on the banner at the top of the page). My friend Kevin Mancera did the incredible artwork you can see here below. Click on it and you’ll get an option to listen to the music on your streaming platform of choice.

“Maracas, tambourines and other hellish things” the film

As crazy as it sounds, I played the main role in a short film about a record store clerk / musician whose life is going nowhere until an improbable encounter changes everything. Watch it right here and let me know what you thought of it.

New Single on Music With Soul Records

An unexpected slice of psychedelic Caribbean jazz, with acoustic piano, steel drum and tripped-out conga solos. The soundtrack of that crazy dream where you hang out with Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock and Mongo Santamaría, sipping up the juice of a freshly squeezed watermelon, under the palm trees of a beautiful beach in Port of Spain. Cover drawn by yours truly.

“Grasping & Wishing” gets a video

The psychedellic voodoo ballad “Grasping & Wishing”, sung by Maddie Ruthless, gets a new videoclip, directed by Matteo Fava and Theo Ammann. Check it out and share it with your friends.

A song I’ve produced for Lola’s Dice has a brand new video. It’s a dubbed out cumbia jam. I’ve joined the band in the video clip. Check it out.
